Design and Analysis of Swastika-Slot Circular Patch Antenna for WLAN and WiMAX Applications

This paper proposes a Swastika-slot circular patch antenna with multiband resonant frequencies having substantial gain and radiating properties. The proposed circular patch antenna specially designed for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) applications. The analyses were carried out using ANSOFT High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). This antenna operates at 5.2 GHz corresponding to WLAN and 5.4/5.8 GHz corresponding to WiMAX band. Feeding technique used for this antenna is coaxial line feeding. Proposed antenna is characterized with better radiation pattern and highest gain of 19.77 dB. For each frequency band return loss graph and far field patterns are plotted with corresponding gain.
