Numerical Analysis of Thermal Characteristics of High-Speed Precision Grinding Roll

Grinding head is a core component of high-speed precision roll grinder, and its performance affects directly grinding performances of the whole roll grinder. Aiming at a kind of grinding head of high-speed precision roll grinder, its structure characteristics and heat source characteristics are analyzed, and its thermal properties of the heat source parameters is calculated. On these bases, the finite element method is used to analyze the heat-structure coupling from the high speed roll grinding head. Analysis results show as follows: owing to the heating power consumption, the temperature of grinding head is within 50°C, thermal deformation of the spindle is smaller, and it meets design requirements, so structure design of the grinding head is reasonable. Owing to bearing temperature rises with the increasing of the working time, and in order to avoid oil film failure under high bearing temperature, constant temperature control demand for the hydraulic oil supply system is put forward.
