Adaptive Wing Design of Morphing Air Vehicle

This paper deals with designing a morphing wing for a Morphing Air Vehicle (MAV) to qualify for being used in future smart city, such as aero photography under a relatively low velocity (loiter velocity) and arrive at pointed place quickly with a relatively high velocity (cruise velocity). Based on these demands this paper will obtain optimal key parameters of this morphing wing by analyzing 2D and 3D aerodynamics, structural design, viscous effects and NACA 4-digits number effects. At the end of this paper, a novel conceptual design about how to obtain the adaptive wings will be provided.
