Parameter Estimation of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor using Whale Optimization Algorithm

To design control algorithm for a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the parameter of PMSM must be estimated accurately. In this paper a well known whale optimization algorithm is used to estimate the parameter of PMSM. To validate the algorithm, a PMSM with known coefficients is considered and the parameter of the model is estimated using WAO.
