Simulation of Micro Co-Generator Transient States Coupled with Mathematical Model of Internal Combustion Engine

Currently, there is a significant increase in interest in distributed energy sources, in particular in CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems. The article presents the interactions occurring in the co-generator between the combustion engine and the synchronous generator. The tests included adjustment of rotational speed and armature voltage. A zero-dimensional model was used to model the working cycle of an internal combustion engine, in which the release of chemical energy of a fuel is determined based on the Wiebe function. All thermodynamic processes were treated as non-adiabatic. To model the synchronous generator, the RL circuit model was used with one damping circuit in each axis.
