Tangles as Vortex Dissipative Solitons in Laser Hula-hoop and Knots

We demonstrated numerically the existence and stability of topological dissipative light solitons consist of a few closed vortex lines, knotted or not, around of unclosed lines, i.e. tangles. These structures were formed from the 2D structures embedded into 3D space. The stability domains for these solitons are presented and the process of vortex lines untying is discussed.
