However, the demand is still very high in several countries, especially in China. In addition, power grids have been connected globally for the purpose of enhancing mutual accommodation and stability of electric power over wide areas, especially in Europe. High-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission is becoming widespread, especially in Europe and China.
