A Novel Blockchain-Based Authenticated Key Exchange Protocol and Its Applications

Authenticated Key Exchange Protocol plays an important role in implementing Internet security protocols. However, most of the existing Key Exchange Protocol based on some Unit of Trust, they do not apply to scenarios where Unit of Trust cannot be deployed, nor to participants who need to bootstrap trust. In this study, we design an efficient and secure Authenticated Key Exchange Protocol with privacy protection based on Blockchain, and prove its security under the Standard Model based on hash one-way and Blockchain transaction-level security. Compared with the existing scheme, the proposed scheme does not need the default Unit of Trust, also has lower computation and communication overheads, suitable for the scenarios that require strangers to bootstrap trust.
