The mediating role of internet addiction on the relation between task technology fit and performance impact in online training context

The impact of internet addiction should be further explored as its potential has caused several concerns among Malaysian employees. However, there is very little empirical literature concerning on the mediating effects of internet addiction toward the relationship between task-technology fit and performance impact. This paper seeks to examine a study done on eighty-four IT employees in Malaysia on the mediating effects of internet addiction towards the relationship. The results of this study showed that internet addiction represents complementary mediation of the relationship from task-technology fit to performance impact. Therefore, the results of this study will further explore the issue of internet addiction and performance impact in the context of online training among IT employees in Malaysia.
