Helicopter identification using blade flash sequence matching

The problem of helicopter identification using blade flash detections is considered. The proposed algorithm employs sequence matching, a technique used previously in biological applications. The performance of the approach is evaluated using a real world dataset. The algorithm is capable of properly determining the helicopter class with high probability.
