Android based PLC data monitoring interface with industrial data communication port

This paper introduces design and implementation of Android-based monitoring of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) digital and analog inputs and / or outputs with using communication port which is widely used in the industry. Inputs / outputs data is transferred to the designed embedded system board using industrial communication port RS-485. Bluetooth hardware and software are used to communicate with the Android mobile device. This data is viewed on designed low-cost system in real-time without cable. In this direction, the operator panel that gives data to the user with the working PLC in the industrial will be redundant and benefit from place and cost.
