Energy Management Model of Charging Station Micro-Grid Considering Random Arrival of Electric Vehicles

This study proposes an effective model and algorithm for the micro-grid energy management which includes electric vehicle charging stations. The randomness of electric vehicle arrival and departure time and the fluctuating electricity price are considered in the model. Also, given to the uncertainty of photovoltaic production and load forecast, a two-stage robust optimization method is proposed. The first stage considers day-ahead scheduling, and the second state uses a model predictive control (MPC) method based real-time optimization. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the model and algorithm. Also, the superiority of accurate prediction (using historical data) over a random arrive time distribution is demonstrated. The impact of the number of charging piles and charging power is also analyzed.
