The Matlab-Simulink model for monitoring of the power loss in inverters which supplies a BLDC motor

This paper presents the concept and the design of a Matlab-Simulink model for monitoring and measurement of the losses that appear in a static converter with MOSFET transistors, of the fully controlled three-phase bridge type. The model was inserted in a drive system of a BLDC motor which operates a small electric vehicle. Inside such vehicle appear frequent changes in the operating mode and in the load. The use of the model allowed the authors to compare various command modes, from the point of view of dynamic behavior and thermal losses on the inverter. This was important and it contributed to the development of a final solution of optimal command for driving the small electric vehicle equipped with BLDC motor.
