Design of SRR loaded asymmetrical CPW fed wearable antenna for telemetry applications

On-body antenna is very essential part of the transceiver section of bio-telemetry. Recently the advancement of MEMS and IC technology with printed circuit antenna has been enabled at low- power, intelligent, miniature, low profile with high data rate wireless medical telemetry communication. A novel split ring resonator loaded inverted L shaped CPW antenna is proposed for wireless telemetric applications. The main advantage of split ring resonator loaded antenna has enhanced the bandwidth and gain. The proposed model using a buffer layer, which is located in between radiation element and skin layer, therefore the designed antenna has enabled to high gain. The minimum return loss attains -48.5dB and -39.7dB at resonance frequency of 1.43GHz. The antenna required parameters like far field pattern, reflection coefficient, VSWR and gain of the proposed antenna is obtained. These parameters of results are meeting the standard wireless medical telemetry applications.
