Study on the influence of plateau environment on the thermal characteristics of power devices

In view of the phenomenon that the communication power devices are easily heated and damaged during the application of the plateau area, this paper designed and built a plateau environment simulation test platform which is based on the plateau environment parameters. The simulation platform is used to study the heating performance of power devices under different air pressure and power loss. It is shown that the operating temperature of the device rises with the increase of the power loss at the same pressure. Meanwhile, when in the case of the same power loss, the temperature of the power device rises at low pressure and ascends with the decrease of the pressure. It can be seen that under the same conditions, the power margin of power devices that applied to the plateau environment should be enlarged and the allowable operation temperature of those devices should be raised, so as to ensure the reliable operation of power devices in plateau environment.
