Transmission pricing methodologies simulator for power trading markets

Transmission pricing for trade offs in power market is proposed. Different pricing parameters is an essential provision in simulator associated with congestion, re-dispatch and facilitate techno-economical analysis of trading philosophy with background calculations performed by optimized power flow package and front-end software with Graphic User Interface facilities. The online pricing simulator will be analyzing the transmission pricing based on certain pricing indices with optimization tools working in tireless fashion to readjust the biddings and contract handling making on line power trading very effective. The eight transmission pricing schemes are being evaluated. The proposed approach has been tested on IEEE14 Bus and on IEEE 30 Bus system using MATPOWER simulation program to illustrate the different results derived among the pricing schemes. This paper will prove beneficial for power trading parties involved in power transaction for techno-economic analysis with chosen indices as an added facility available on line.
