Virtual reality in social network is the most trending and hot topic in recent years. The familiarity with virtual reality in gaming industry is quite popular and known to all The concept of virtual reality is quit new in social networking industry and it is still evolving In this paper, we will understand the concept of virtual reality in social network and compare two of the forerunners of being the most used social network sites using virtual reality headset. The sites which we will be comparing are VTime and AltSpaceVR, where we will see how both of these sites work and what are current and future plans of both the sites. The working of virtual reality in social network depends on 360° cameras, live 3D audio, Avatars and virtual headset from any manufacturer. The discussion will also concentrate on, current development in virtual reality in social network and towards ideal scenario where virtual reality and the actual reality will be inseparable. Our discussion will also focus on, Avatars. How they are made and how close to the reality they are in terms of facial expressions and look of avatars to original person. There are several virtual environment providers but here the focus is on AltSpaceVR and VTime.
