Sheet metal optimization forming technology used in server chassis design and analysis

The purpose of this thesis is to design and verify the server shell using finite element analysis software and actual measurement. And configure the server for the hard disk, the deformation will produce more than 0.4mm, and interference test. And discusses the relationship between the internal structure of the server and the structural strength, and establishes a set of procedures for the design of the server shell parameters. In this paper, Taguchi parameter design method was used to analyze the server shell orthogonal table with the finite element analysis software ABAQUS instead of experiment, taking the thickness of the shell of the server, the type of Punch, the height of the fan wall, the thickness of the supporting tray steel and the weight of the HDD as the control factors. The optimal parameters were screened and analyzed by orthogonal table. The Taguchi experimental method was used to predict the S / N ratio of the parameters. And the combination of parameters again finite element analysis. Through the post-processing to see the amount of deformation the amount of deformation converted S / N ratio. Finally, the parameter combination Taguchi experimental method to predict the formula S / N ratio error comparison. Combine the parameters into the actual server shell and measure the amount of deformation with a 3-D measurement machine. The S / N ratio was calculated by measuring the resulting deformation, and the S / N ratio obtained from the Taguchi experimental method of parameter combination was compared. Measurement deformation is 0.143mm, the average percentage of error was 8.01%. According to the ISTA specification, the server shell fall-off analysis and test were performed. The maximum stress was 165MPa and the yield strength of the steel plate was 320MPa. The conversion safety factor was 1.93, It is predicted that the server chassis can pass the drop test. After falling drop test to detect the appearance of physical damage and functional tests, no physical damage after testing and function are all normal, the server chassis by ISTA drop test.
