A measurement system for passive intermodulation with real time environment parameter detection

A novel method and system for passive intermodulation measurement with real time environment parameter detection is proposed in this thesis. The system includes a high-sensitivity passive intermodulation measurement platform and real-time environmental parameter detection module. Real-time environmental parameter detection module consists of temperature and strain sensors, data acquisition and processing equipment. Precise measurements of temperature and strain are studied to capture the small strains that cause passive intermodulation. Taking rectangular waveguide flange connector as an example, the strain and passive intermodulation under temperature cycling were measured in real time, and the changes of strain and PIM under temperature cycling were obtained.
