Fuzzy logic controlled high step-up boost-flyback converter for an efficient photovoltaic system

A High step-up boost- flyback converter which is controlled by fuzzy logic controller is suggested for a frontend photovoltaic system with maximum power point tracking. The voltage proliferate module consist of integrated boost-flyback converter, which obtains highly advanced gain without operating in an maximal duty ratio. The boost-flyback configuration is implemented to actualize a quite higher voltage conversion ratio. Fuzzy logic principles are used for efficiency optimisation, performance enhancement and control. The fuzzy controller tracks the output voltage error and make the output voltage stable by controlling the switching of voltage proliferate module by using pulse width modulation, where the fuzzy controller output signals are compared with the carrier signals. The frontend of the photovoltaic system is connected to a charger circuit which is operated by the instructions of `Perturb and observe' algorithm. The control algorithm has been developed, analysed and validated.
