Implementation of cordic algorithm and design of high speed cordic algorithm

Compared to DSP algorithms, a set of shift or add algorithm collectively called CORDIC algorithm is better both in terms of area and power consumption. This algorithm uses only shift and add operations and therefore it has simpler hardware implementation. In this paper, ripple carry adder/subtractor is replaced with carry look ahead adder which consist of full adders with optimised XOR gates. This makes the algorithm faster in the hardware level.
