Cloud and sensors based obesity monitoring system

Obesity affects not only the adults but also the children hailing from developed to developing countries and with mortality rate rising each consecutive year, the demand to develop a smart system to tackle this problem has been increasing steadily. The real-time system presented in the paper uses cloud computing, data analytics and sensors to monitor the lifestyle of the user. The system tracks the BMI of the user, sets up smart alarms and makes suggestions to adopt a more healthy dietary and exercise regime. The system also demonstrates the characteristics of being user-friendly, affordable and efficient.
