A modified UPQC topology with reduced DC link voltage in power system

Today in power system at load side using non-linear load due to this load power quality decrease for improving power quality use FACT device. In this paper used Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC). It works current and voltage distortion at load side. Make distortion free system active power filter (APF) are used. Series APF and shunt APF are simultaneously acting. It balances voltage and current at load side. The UPQC helps match the dc link voltage as common to both APF. In this topology three leg voltage source inverter (VSI) are uses for avoid switching losses. UPQC avoid voltage sag or swell, harmonics at load side. Compensate current and voltage as per requirement at distribution side. It conducted tow operation at a time so it's advantageous. In this paper Simulation study carried out with MATLAB 2016a.
