A sufficient criterion protection principle applied to distribution network integrated with DGs

High penetration and decentralization rate of distributed generators has brought significant impaction on the distribution network protection. In this paper, a sufficient criterion protection principle is proposed, which extract absolutely selective fault features in fault location judgment of distribution network with DGs. The judgment made by the proposed protection strategy is sufficient and reliable. The principle of the proposed sufficient criterion protection is introduced in detail, and its judgment logic is elaborated. Simulation result validates the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed protection strategy.
