Optimal location of urban seismic shelter for evacuation based on network analysis of GIS

Based on remote sensing image of the part area in Jinan, in order to obtain the spatial data and attribute data of the residential area, elusion and dispersion zone and road networks of the study area, the methods of visual interpretation combined with the actual survey were adopted. By using ArcGIS10.3, first of all, space buffer analysis was done based on the risk points, and then overlay analysis was done with the buffer analysis result and elusion and dispersion zone. Thus we could get the effective elusion and dispersion zone by eliminating the danger point affected. Secondly, based on road network and effective elusion and dispersion zone entrances, the elusion and dispersion service area was divided. Finally, the functions of minimize impedance and minimize facilities of ArcGIS network analysis was applied to study the relations of elusion and dispersion zones and residential areas, so that we can know that all the residents of the residential area could go to the nearest emergency shelter and the evacuation zones of minimum number should be chosen or established.
