An low-profile 4-multibeam antenna radiating parallel to ground plane

A low-profile antenna using four loop elements for radiating vertical polarization. The multi-directional beam is directed in four directions at 6.2 GHz. The simulated characteristics and the beam patterns show good agreements with measured results. The proposed antenna has only 3.2 mm thickness, and the average gain is 5.3 dBi.
