Efficient lightweight mechanism for node authentication in WBSN

Several connected health technologies, such as WBSN, WBANs, and WPANs, play an increasing role in ICT based medical systems. These networks have the capability of collecting real-time biomedical data through intelligent medical sensors in or around the patients' body. The collected data is transmitted to remote medical personnel for clinical diagnostics. However, only authenticated sensing nodes within the connected health network should be able to do this. This work provides a scheme to enable this trust based authentication.
