A modified GWO technique based fractional order PID controller with derivative filter coefficient for AGC of power systems with plug in electric vehicles

A three Area nonlinear power system keeping a thermal system and Electric Vehicle module in each area has been developed as AGC model. Along with this a fractional order PID controller with a filter in derivative part is proposed for each area. Initially different PID controllers are taken for each area. The variables of the controller are tuned by modified grey wolf optimization technique to lessen the frequency fluctuation. After that conglomerated Electric Vehicle module is incorporated with PID controller to further reduce the frequency fluctuation. Lastly dissimilar Fractional order PID controllers with derivative filter coefficient along with conglomerated Electric vehicles are introduced to each area which makes the frequency fluctuation least. This has been exhibited in MATLAB simulation environment and the comparisons are made with the standard PID controller with out and with EV to prove the supremacy of the modified grey wolf optimized proposed controller along with Electric vehicle.
