A systematic study of noise characteristics and overwrite in oriented and isotropic media

Using NiAl as a seed layer creates a new type of isotropic media with (10.0) crystal texture as compared with the conventional isotropic structure having a 3D random microstructure [1]. This new isotropic media in general, exhibits small grain size and low integrated media noise.
