Examination of the visibility of car mounted display in car navigation system

Car navigation system is very important for safety driving system. Especially, the visibility of car mounted display under the several driving conditions is strongly affected for driver judgement. Nevertheless, this influence is not discussed yet. In this experiment, we investigated the visibility of car mounted display under the several ambient light conditions by using the subjective evaluation. A significant change in the subjective assessment test was seen with respect to the change of the scenery image. In addition, we also made comparisons with monochrome images.
