An efficient approach towards image deduplication using WATSON

Cloud computing has utmost importance in this developing era. It provides users with services based on their demands over the internet. One of the important and popular cloud service is data storage. In order to ensure the privacy of data holders, encrypted data storage criteria is adopted where the data is stored in cloud in an encrypted form. This adopted criteria on the other hand give rise to challenges such as data duplication in cloud. Data deduplication, an effective approach to avoid data redundancy is been used widely. Along with data deduplication there is a need of image deduplication to avoid accumulation of redundant images in cloud and thus to reduce storage space usage.
