Hybrid massive open online course (MOOC) recommendation system using machine learning

The amount of educational resources spread over the Internet is huge and diverse. Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) websites such as Coursera, Udacity, EdX are gaining momentum. In this knowledge exploration age it becomes increasingly difficult for a learner to identify a suitable course for him. This task can be tedious because it involves access to each platform, search available courses, select some courses, read carefully each course syllabus, and choose appropriate content. To counter this problem Recommendation Systems are used. This paper proposes an effective and efficient MOOC Recommendation System based on Machine Learning. The proposed system will be able to provide effective recommendations to learners on e-learning sites.
