Integration of DFIG in damping LFC characteristics in wind penetrated power system

Our target is to incorporate DFIG into the two area power system. The role of the inertia present in the rotor blades of the DFIG is utilized. A two area power system is compared with a conventional power system. From the simulation studies, it is observed that there is improvement in LFC characteristics. Moreover, it is concluded the incorporation of DFIG into the two area power system has made it more stable and less oscillatory as compared to the conventional system.
