Time of use prices considering smart meters and their future implementation in Saudi Arabia smart grid

In this paper, the future implementation of Time of Use prices considering smart meters in Saudi Arabia smart grid is studied from different perspectives. The customers' impression about Time of Use is conducted using online survey. Also, the impact of Time of Use on reduces the strain on electricity system is examined, for example, to flatten out the peaks, to reduce voltage deviation and to minimize total system losses. Finally, Defers the need for investment in new energy infrastructure by using Time of Use is determined.
