Analysis of Potential Terrestrial System Effects from Raman Pumps below Cable Cut-off in G.654.E Fibres

The new G.654.E fibre standard moves the cable cut-off specification to 1530 nm. We analyse potential signal impairments that may arise from Raman amplification with pump wavelengths below cable cut-off. We find negligible effects are expected even under worst-case conditions.
