Digital measurement of optical transfer function: On the example of image intensifier tubes

For evaluating quality of optical systems, different parameters are measured. One of the most important is optical transfer function. This paper shows a method for digital measurement of modulation transfer function of optical systems. Starting with analog device ODETA V, on which Moiré analyzer was replaced by CMOS sensor, influence of image digitalization on a result was analyzed and methods for correction of some of artifacts was suggested.
