Multiple motor synchronization using nonlinear PID control

An efficient multiple motor synchronization control scheme is presented in this paper. Firstly, DC motor speed control modeling is discussed and cross coupling technique is explained. Then a nonlinear PID based control with synchronization feedback control is applied to achieve motion synchronization. The closed loop performance is investigated for desired set point with set point variation and load disturbance. Finally, the paper concludes with comparative analysis between conventional PID and nonlinear PID control performances for DC motors speed synchronization.
