A new dual active clamp converter with high voltage gain

This paper presents a new topology for dual active clamp converters. The structure is extracted from conventional isolated boost converter based on its symmetrical feature. Two active clamp circuits are adopted, operating in half frequency of the main switching frequency. The proposed converter is compared with the conventional interleaved isolated boost converter. It preserves higher voltage gain while number of switches and diodes are reduced. Simulation results are provided in order to verify the theoretical analysis conducted in this paper.
