Design of directional over-current relaying scheme for interconnected bus system

The paper gives design methodology of protection system for an interconnected bus system. The protection system is designed by keeping system constraints in mind. Directional over current protection is applied to the distribution system. The LINKNET structure algorithm is applied to find the primary-backup pairs. The IEEE 14 bus system network is developed in ETAP. LINKNET programming is done using MATLAB software.
