Signal optimization of the AE piezoelectric sensor

A simple 1D model could not meet the needs of the vibration analysis of piezoelectric disk when the electromechanical couplings in the both directions of thickness and radius are strong. Using its 2-D electromechanical circuit model, we compute the response of a broadband AE sensor that is made of piezoelectric disk with small ratio of diameter and thickness. Finally, we analyze and optimize the performance of piezoelectric sensor for the Acoustic Emission (AE) applications in this paper.
