Dynamic Analysis of Modular Space Deployable Supporting Structure

The kinematic analysis model of a modular space deployable support truss frame structure is established. The deployable performance is verified through the dynamic analysis of its unfolding process. After establishing the finite element model of the support structure which is fully unfolded and locked, modal analysis is carried out. According to the basic theory of graphics, the properties such as area utilization ratio, fundamental frequency and mass in different module numbers and different module layout modes are compared under specific aperture. The hexagon layout mode is selected as study subject because of its better indexes. The influence of configuration parameters such as antenna aperture, module number and bar section size on the fundamental frequency and total mass are analyzed under hexagonal layout. The results provide a guidance to the parameters selection of deployable antenna.
