Fast and accurate resource-aware functional ECO patch generation tool

The actual task of patch generation within the framework of the ECO problem is considered in this paper. The task is solved taking into account the wiring cost function of the gates, which determines physical costs for the implementation of the patch. Conflict-driven greedy basis search method, suitable for patch generation with a minimum weight is proposed. Various structural approaches have been suggested that allow reducing the computational load from conflict-driven basis search. Compared with previously proposed techniques, the proposed method does not impose any structural or topological constraints, as well as limitations on error models. The effectiveness of the method is confirmed on a number of industrial cases with various errors, error models and ECO scenarios. The work gets special value due to the fact that the whole patch generation flow was published in the public domain in open source format.
