A novel band stop frequency selective surface for the security of quad band mobile applications

In this paper, a novel band stop Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) has been designed for the security purpose in mobile communication. The design has approached as band stop filter for quad bands wireless applications. In the proposed design, a single sided FR4 Epoxy substrate with dimension 0.16λ × 0.16λ is incorporated with five elements. The CST Microwave studio software has used for designing and simulation of the FSS. The design was aimed to stop four bands these are 2.4GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.5 GHz and 5.5GHz which are used in wireless applications.
