Characteristic mode analysis of folded patch antenna

CMA (Characteristic Mode Analysis) is an efficient tool for designing and optimizing antennas. The present study reinvestigate the fundamental aspects of folded patch wideband technique with the help of CMA. Analysis shows the presence of three significant Eigen modes within the band of interest. Eigen current behavior clearly portrays the mode orthogonality, which provides deeper insight to the properties of the configuration.
