Tasks management of manned space ground data processing based on OSWorkflow engine and Web Services

Within a manned space laboratory ground data processing system, tasks management is a key component to the validity and stability of the system. How to combine the available data processing function of three types of earth observation payloads data effectively to meet the requirements of products processing and how to effectively schedule multiple concurrent tasks, are the important problems to be solved in the course of tasks management. This paper illustrated the characteristics and functions of manned space laboratory ground data processing system to discuss the design thought of tasks management and controlling. Three main workflow technologies including Web Services, OSworkflow engine, and OpenPBS scheduling would be used to design and implement tasks management and controlling. This function could be decomposed into algorithms management, workflow management, and task scheduling. The workflow visualization controlling interface would be developed to verify the task management subsystem based on blade cluster and parallel file system.
