Research on smartphone reliability assessment

At present, the most prominent feature of smartphone is its various configuration. To find a popular testing method for smartphone, this paper presents a new idea which assessing smartphone as a whole. According to its integrated characteristics, a smartphone can be divided into three parts: hardware part, operating system part and application part. Then the assessment scheme of reliability and importance weight of each part are put forward on the basis of their reliabilities and the influences for the whole smartphone system. The innovation of this smartphone reliability assessment system is including applications into smartphone reliability assessment. Software reliability model is used to evaluate the application software reliability, besides, data mining technology in network information and questionnaire are also used to make the assessment process more complete. Finally, we use the collected data to verify this assessment system, the result shows that this scheme can be used as an effective method to assess the smartphone reliability.
