The research of surround view parking assist system

When the driver reverses or parks, the probability of an accident is large. Surround view parking assist system can use a surrounding 360 degree top-view image to inform the driver. In addition to helping reduce the parking pressure, assisting the driver in reversing, but also to avoid some security incidents, improve the safety of parking. In this paper we focus on the key problems in surround view parking assist system. We choose the Bouguet's method to calibrate fish-eye camera. By use of the C implementation of the Bouguet's fish-eye calibration toolbox the fish-eye images are removed the distortion. Based on OpenCV (open source computer vision), the corrected images are reversed the projection into the topview images by means of perspective transformation. With the placement of markings, the four top-view images are stitched into a surrounding top-view image.
