ADC controlled parallel loaded resonant half-bridge converter for LED lighting

In this paper, a half-bridge parallel resonant converter based LED driver is proposed. ADC control is employed. It operates with ZVS and hence switching losses are reduced. It provides dimming control in LED loads and regulates LED current against input voltage variation. With reduced current ripple, it offers the advantage of eliminating electrolytic capacitor and life span of LED driver is increased. The detailed description, circuit analysis and simulation results of the proposed converter are presented.
