Earless earphones: A device for deaf

Hearing is one of our most important senses because it alerts us to dangers that we can always see. We communicate largely by speaking and listening to one another and we listen to music so we can experience deep emotions whenever we wish. Realizing the pain of deaf as well as semi-deaf people we have come up with this idea. This system not only helps the deaf to communicate with other through mobile phone but also for entertainment purpose i.e., one can listen songs or radio or any other audio. Through research we came to know that there is a direct nerve connection between the jaws and eardrum of our ear. We can understand and hear the information or audio signal that has been produced from the mobile phone through this nerve. PAM 8403 forms the heart of this project. It consists of input-output ports, a port for AUX Pin and one for power source from the USB wire. The input is given from the mobile phone to the module through AUX Pin which is connected to amplifier. This audio signal which is provided through the AUX Pin is a small audio signal. It is now converted to the large audio signal with the strengthened amplitude with the help of amplifier PAM 8403 Module. A power supply of 5volts is already given to the Module before providing the input to it. In this invention we use mobile vibrator as an output receiver either of the right or left side signal wire can be used. When the amplified audio signal is supplied to the output receiver, regarding audio signal is being produced i.e. it has converted the electrical energy to the mechanical energy. In this project we are using only mono speaker to reduce complexity.
