Synthesis of model of hardware realization of LIF-model of biological neuron on the basis of FPGA

For years of researches and developments in the field of neurotechnologies a big variety of the artificial neural networks somewhat reminding work of biological neural systems was created. In article the neuron of pulse neural network is considered. Priority fields of use of neural networks of this type: spatial navigation and analysis of the environment; analysis of smells and dynamic graphic and sound information; neuroprosthetics and neurointerfaces. There is a huge number of the simplified neuron models, but the most part from them all the same demands big resources. The LIF-model which is most simplified also does not consider many mechanisms of a biological cell, but is simple in realization. The mathematical LIF-model has only one differential equation. Having analyzed and having estimated functionality of various models of neurons for hardware realization of neural network, were chosen LIF-model at the rate of its resource and energy efficiency. The mathematical model of neuron and model of its hardware realization on FPGA base is considered.
